Poem -

My Greatest Fear

I fear of never waking...the darkness sucks me inΒ
Engulfed in misty shadow...entwined in softened sinΒ
I fear of never seeing...blind to all that breathesΒ
Locked behind these marble eyes...shackled in memoriesΒ
I fear of never feeling...to never love at all
An empty space of heartache...forever doomed to fallΒ
I fear of never walking...bound with chain and tieΒ
Moving is a given gift...that's taken when we dieΒ
I fear of never knowing...what will come of thingsΒ
Stranded in my empty mind...stuck with broken wingsΒ
I fear of never breathing...drowned in distant thoughtΒ
Sinking within my shattered self...never to be caughtΒ
I fear of never fearing... it is what makes us wholeΒ
For fearing is part of life itself...a part of every soul
