Poem -

MY HEART CRIES

It hurts when I smileĀ
Ever since I was a childĀ
Bullies would take my toysĀ
You've met themĀ
Rough little boysĀ
And mean little girls
It was no surpriseĀ
Day and night I stayed insideĀ
From those bullies I would hideĀ
That's how I survivedĀ
My childhood life
Now that I'm a manĀ
I am still trying to understandĀ
Why someone would break your heartĀ
Leaving you in a state of depressionĀ
Always a mental condition
It still hurts when I smileĀ
Now that I'm a manĀ
The brokenness inside overshadows my smileĀ
Now its loves pain I must hide
So beneath my smileĀ
My heart cries.
