MY HEART CRIES

It hurts when I smile
Ever since I was a child
Bullies would take my toys
You've met them
Rough little boys
And mean little girls
It was no surprise
Day and night I stayed inside
From those bullies I would hide
That's how I survived
My childhood life
Now that I'm a man
I am still trying to understand
Why someone would break your heart
Leaving you in a state of depression
Always a mental condition
It still hurts when I smile
Now that I'm a man
The brokenness inside overshadows my smile
Now its loves pain I must hide
So beneath my smile
My heart cries.
