Poem -

My Home is my Refuge

My home is my refuge at the end of each day
After a hard day at work
With its books and its pictures
Its lighting and décor.

My home is my refuge at the end of each day
When the dark nights draw in
When the leaves are falling from the trees
I can pull down the blinds.

My home is my refuge at the end of each day
Living alone it’s my little cocoon
Where I can sleep and make plans
And then face the world.

Living alone as it is that I do.
