"My Jesus"
"Parked outside,
the Bar of Death,
I was drunk,
staggering outside,
but I heard,
the last call,
for crystal meth,
so I ran inside,
with my arms open wide,
and the demons of the Devil,
were huddled together.
They eyed my temptation,
and whispered,
while licking their lips,
as they consorted,
to take my soul forever.
They handed,
me the pipe,
with grins of teeth,
on their face,
and as I partook,
I felt overwhelming disgrace.
My mind reeled,
as I clutched my head,
I felt such powerful,
immobilizing dread,
and thought surely,
I would soon be dead,
but from the corner,
of the room,
a stranger appeared,
and they all looked worried,
but still their eyes leered.
The stranger,
crouched down,
and said softly to me,
"Do you believe,
I can save thee,
and and that they,
or the Devil,
won't get the best of me?"
My heart beat like,
a train on a broken track,
and I feared I was having,
a heart attack,
but then such a calm,
settled down,
and as I looked around,
I noticed the demons,
all had their heads down,
sobbing with shame,
they all knelt to the ground.
I looked up at the stranger,
and He smiled back to me,
and I told him quite assuredly,
"I do believe!"
Then He offered His Hand,
and told me to stand,
and everyone's eyes turned away,
as light poured from His Hands.
The room became brighter,
so much more whiter,
than I'd ever seen,
like I was living,
in the cleanest dream.
They all disappered,
and He whispered,
so softly into my ear,
"Come with me,
and you will have,
nothing to fear."
I looked at Him,
and said,
"Who are you friend?"
He said,
"I am Jesus,
the beginning and end."
My eyes opened wide.
There's no way He,
had lied,
for what I'd seen,
I now walk by His Side.
We are still the best of friends,
to this very day,
and He talks to me,
everytime that I pray.
So come what will,
come what may,
but He is my Jesus,
even after,
my dying day."
