My Love

My Love

You love me as I fade away into nothing as if I’m not
As if my illness isn’t there
You see the woman I could be but she simply isn’t there
You love me while I am dissolving instead of evolving into your idea of something I’m starting to fear I am not.
I fear that maybe I am a rose being torn from her  garden only defense are her thorns.
In fear I’m on my last root, in fear that a vas’s won’t save me from death
In fear I won’t grow again.

Unlike my body my love for your is enteral, endless, everlasting. Like time I thought it would pass.
But like time it is infinite.
