My Magic Curiosty

In amidst the golden daffodils
By the candestine castle on the shore
I wandered off into oblivion
As I came on a wooden door
I stood staring in puzzlement at this peculiar trapdoor that I had found
It appeared to lead to nowhere as it was lay flat upon the ground
Lying tantilizingly eerie betwixt the splendor of such a sight,
A field amass with beautiful daffodils shining like a haloâs light
What an Earth was this there for ?
Was it beckoning me to lift itâs latch ?
Bewitchingly unusual
Bamboozling perched amongst a grassy patch
Of course my curiousty kicked in
Nobody else was around
So I lifted this large, heavy handle
& I stood in amazement at what Iâd found
A staircase descending down below as far as my eyes could look
Surely this was just my imagination
Was I reading a mysterious story book ?
I cautiously stepped on each stone stair
Tiny twinkly fairy lights led my way
I didnât think of possible danger
I was going down âCome what mayâ
I counted forty four steps as I eventually reached the floor
In a moment of astonishment I was welcomed with wild folklore
Dwarf-like elves with pixie partners were jigging on an earthy core
I was captivated at this enchantment
A hollowed-out basin was the dancefloor
Sadly I couldnât enter in it as I was much too tall
So I stood watching them oozing energy enjoying their grand Pageant ball
They laughed with merriment
Obviously pleased that I could see
Infact an elf stopped his jigging & He came right over to me
âWell Gudday my little Earthlingâ
Is excatly what he said
I couldnât answer him as I was speechless
So I smiled at him instead
I donât know how long I stood there watching this marvellous view
But it was time for me to leave
So I knew what I had to do
Stuttering & a-spluttering I let out a shaky âBravoâ
Then I bid them all âFarewellâ
It was sad but I had to go
