My Mom

My moms name is Pam
She loves as hard as a scorpions ram
She’s very outspoken but afraid to say hello
She’s tough on the outside but her insides are jello
She wears her heart on her sleeve
So it’s hard for her to trust and believe
She’s been hurt before
So she has problems trusting anyone that walks through her door
She’s complicated and hard to love
But I promise that she’s worth it
She believes in love 
And if something is broken she tries to fix it
She’s my mom so I know her the best
And I’ll put anyone that comes by through a test
And if they decide they want to fail
My moms heart will not become more frail
My mom is fighting cancer
But she has all her enhancers
At the end of the day
If you can’t accept her the way she is
Then stop, turn around, and walk the other way
I’m her daughter
And no one will ever love her more
So I refuse to see her broken and emotionally sore
