My Piper My Priest

My Piper My Priest

More intellectual and educated men
Have been guests of my den
Indeed even those with sharper minds

But none of them were so wise as you my love
None with ears that hear and eyes that see from above
To see signs of the divine

I've had lovers of fair beauty
Of perfect shape and form
Of God and Goddess both sons and daughters born

But none with a brow shining so brightly
Soul of green and gray
And with great horns grown, not adorned

From the mist of Avalon
that over the shimmering surface will roll
For those for whom the bell of the faire will toll
within the depth of my soul
Came my God, My Piper, my Priest
To make my spirit whole
