My Reflection on Getting Old

Yes,Spring is round the corner, but it still feels oh so cold
Could this be a pointer for me,that I am getting old
A morning glance in the mirror, reveals my hair turning white like snow
Alas I think my youthfulness, is starting to let go
I glance deeper into my reflection, my heart is on my lap
With all the contours and lines on my face,it's like a well used road map
My neck looks like a tortoise,a wrinkled old leathery skin
But one thing good,my heart still pumping, with that,I manage a grin
I may be a silly old grumpy old soul,it starts when you start getting older
I still laugh when I tell the kids of my youth, when my hair was down past my shoulder
Some music that I listened to,may be a thing of the past
You'll find as years go by,that some things just don't last
But life has dealt me one or two bad cards
But now I feel,it's making up those yards
I may be old and grumpy at times
But now my life's walking on happier lines
