My Sea

My Sea

Azure outreaching, my infinity
A spread of blue that laps against my feet
I thirst and curse its cruel salinity
Only by submersion it quells my heat

At times so calm and peaceful, nearly sad
It seems to be composed of solely tears
Yet frozen in its unwavering gaze
I feel it eroding away my fears

Then evil wind incites my peaceful waves
To frenzy stopping not for man nor beast
Its towers set to begging all the brave
After witnessing life become deceased

But know, I will return to you, my sea
No matter what you try to do to me
