Poem -

My Self

Within my eyes I see you in the mirror
All frail, bitter and scared
Where have you been all these years
You were once a part of me
What have they done to you
As I no longer understand you
Please don't fly away again
As most mirrors are shattered
And you see my friend
I do not wish to re-enter the cube

When I talk I now hear your voice
All rough, sinister and alone
Where were you hiding
My body, my beholder
Tell me, did they hurt you
As I now feel much pain
Please stop running and hiding
As I need to protect you
In your shadow I cannot rest
Together we shall be one again
