My Shades of Grey

He left and when he did
He took her with him
It felt like he sat on my bed
And finally got up 
I felt relief but pressure
Steam and heat and pressure in my body
Like I swallowed a invisible jawbreaker
That broke my heart
I was exhausted but awake
I was hurt but healing
My tears never stopped running
Even when I woke up
They still chased one another down my cheek
My heart was at its week's end
And had no intentions of coming back for me
