My Sister

My Sister

Growing up together, our early years were sad,
Mum died young, and we lost touch with our dad.
We moved away, to start out on our own.
kept in touch, usually by phone.
Some years passed, I wanted you to see.
I missed you, and I knew that you missed me!
On my own, my problems grew and grew,
You helped me, when I really needed you.
From up north I came, to live close by,
We formed a bond we'll have until we die.
My sister who I love with all my heart,
You've been there for me, from the very start.

Great poem April. My sister and myself are very close especially after the hard times we have been through. I look forward to reading more from you.
