MY SOCIETY

My Society tries to program me,
To become a perfect piece you see,
Society likes to program the young, to steal their youth,
Rob their innocence, and pollute their Imaginations,
And destroy all there pure creations, they must make in to societies abominations.
My Society tries to program me,
To become a mad man can't you see.
They set me up, so when I fall,
There’s shall be the loudest laugh of all.
They give me expectations that no man can achieve.
For they come at a cost too high, higher than you can conceive.
They try to make it all look like everyone lies, everyone steals,
Everyone cheats and pig’s out at meals.
Everyone that’s rich and beautiful they have it all,
But the bigger you get, the harder you fall.
I tell you now, I tell you true,
I’m not like one of you.
I believe in my heart,
I have been honest right from the start.
I’m the one that got away, this I know to be true,
I’m the one not programmed by you,
I’m programmed by me, and all that I believe.
For without your programming we all might be free,
From the confinements you place on your vanity,
We all might learn to look at each other,
As if we were looking at a sister or fellow brother,
Without lust, possession, smite, or wrath.
If I were to say to you let us run and play a flute,
You might accuse my mind of becoming a little dilute,
Society’s programming is the worst of all,
for it’s based on the physical shell,
And this is what paves a mortal’s path to hell,
I guess for them this is all fine and well.
But for me, I shall remain free.
For I’m not a perfect piece of their perfect society.
