MY SPIRIT February 2, 2008

As you speak my spirit dies,
When I’m weak, my soul cries,

When you are around and loud,
I crave quite with no sound,

When you attack my very essence,
My first reaction is to give some distance,
Peoples love, people’s smiles,
Help through all the lonely miles,

I wish you would not destroy,
I wish you would not employ,

Your power’s of manipulations,
For I will always love in all my incarnations,

For this is a poet’s soul,
Romance and love is all that we know,

We love all living things,
We see hope in all that life brings,
For love makes are soul sing.
