Poem -

My Wall

Why did I let him knock these stones down? The stones I put up. The ones around my heart.
Then you merely crushed the stones, like they were grains of salt.
How could I have been so stupid?
This I will never forget.
Now my life is filled with pain and I'm cursed with this regret.
My eyes would light up and with a smile on my face I would look you up and down.
But, now my eyes are filled with tears and my smile has turned to a frown.
And as I push through this hurt and pick up the crushed pieces of my wall.
I stare around blankly
As off my face a tear drop falls.
