Mystic Moon

to watch this mystic moon

run her course across the sky

gliding so serenely

over the dark horizon

such a large round orb

almost touching the trees

travelling along with us

on her nightly journey

with her patchy markings

and craters that look so clear

seen with the naked eye

as they stand out so proud

silently floating onward

through the darkened sky

brightening up the landscape

with soft cosmic lights

for this heavenly sphere

appears every evening

arching across the galaxy

to disappear each morning

so as you look to the moon

travelling on her orbit path

know that she will guide you

each and every dark night..!
