We race up the stairs 
To the bedroom 
Drunk and in love 
Giggling with every step

He runs and dives on to the bed
I dance for him
More giggles
We are like school kids with a crush

But then our laughs die down
And the energy of the room changes 
Suddenly
Everything is so much more intense

It's slower
It's warmer
I can feel the particles in the air
Attaching themselves to my bare arms 

He looks at me
Determination in his eyes like a wolf
Ready to imprint upon his mate
