Poem -

NAMELESS

I don’t know what to call you,
a savior or a storm,

the whisper that soothes me

or the silence that leaves me torn.

With words, you shatter my world,

with touch, you mend my soul,

you swear that we are nothing,

yet in your arms, I feel whole.

You build me up with your love,

only to strike me down with disdain,

pulling me into your fire,

then leaving me out in the rain.

I try to make sense of your echoes,

but they shift like the tides at dawn,

one moment, you hold me so tightly,

the next, I feel like I’m gone.

You rage like we’re bound forever,

yet insist we have no ties,

if I am nothing to you,

why do I drown in your eyes?

Should I mourn this cruel devotion,

or surrender to its fire?

Do I flee from the wreckage,

or cling to my one desire?

I don't know if I should cry or laugh,

if I should run or stay,

for in this love that has no name,

I am lost—yet cannot stray.
