Nature takes us home

Nature takes us home

The dance of the sunlight
awakens the dawn
the foggy dew forms
among mortal yawn.
The flight of the swallows
the sound of the bees
as each season colours
the mighty oak tree.
The flow of the river
the rise of the lark
the blossom of a rose
as we stroll through the park.
The gentle summer breeze
white blankets of snow
the gold of the autumn
in earth's greatest show.
The lambs at spring playtime
among buttercups and heatherĀ
theatrics and song
whatever the weather.
As the stars draw their blanket
across the night sky
drawing us to the now
as time passes by.
