Need Something New Today

Sitting,

Evaluating the past,

Breathing deep thoughtfully sound,

Wondering how I sit blindly,

Fearing what I feel,

If I stand will I fall?

If I reach out can I touch what my sick head thinks are cold walls?

If I open my eyes will anything be there at all?

Sitting,

Foreseeing what the future will behold,

Wheezing not being able to catch my breath at all,

Hoping this chair can hold the tremendous neck breaking weight these warring sorrowful thoughts have brought,

Fearing with my heart,

Trying to stand but these feet fumble stumbling for a forward loss,

Trying to drag this dead body which I maintain across the rocky ground,

Trying to view the worlds colorful glistening scenery through this solid cage of mine,

Sitting,

I think I can stand,

Moving these heavy feet with steady hands,

Today I'll do what I can,

Yesterday has come to pass,

Tomorrow won't come to fast,

Right now I'll have to look straight and hold on,

Open your eyes come outside I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
