Never

Never in time did I see it’s true worth
Wished it away like the mud and the dirt 
Never did I stop to take a breath 
Never did I appreciate what’s gone but what’s left. 
Never did I show my honest self
Never did I appreciate true love over wealth 
But time ticks on regardless of me
And changes presented by choices are free 
But inside my spirit is destined  to fight 
The challenge is recognising the ones that are right. 
And along the way my paths have untwined 
Throwing me of track and questions my mind 
The paths ahead are a visable maze 
Each corner turned is a passing phase 
A lesson learnt a path succeeded
Another wrong turn hopefully unneeded 
Keep it straight and keep it strong
And most importantly carry on.
