Poem -

Never again

Blissful Ignorance

Never again

I felt the wounds inflected on your heart,Ā

The lies and deceit sinking deep underneath,Ā

Even when I try to do my part,Ā

I can’t help but feel your love drifting off,Ā

Was I wrong to assume redemption is real,Ā

Left with only my darkest memories,Ā

May I ask who did this to you,Ā

And how we can make them pay,Ā

Or is this the end of our journey come all too soon,Ā

Two worlds clash with only rubble in its wake.Ā

Thanks you so much that really means a lot to me! My wife was having a horrible day and I wrote that to make her feel better and she couldn’t get express how those words made her feel. I appreciate your kind words and am even more motivated to keep writing. ?
