Never grow up!

A smile a tide wide as I'm happy, they say I've ants in my pants but I can't see them
I'm the joker and king of my castle, they say I have odd socks on yet I can't feel them
I race around on my bike chasing what I think is a kite
But it's just me and my imagination being joyful with life

I hear the shouting indoors, that I don't like, so I go outside with my ball and kick it against graffiti walls
I don't need to understand how to be all grown up, for I'm still a child, let me enjoy childish games
With the sound of the ice cream van swirling into my street, I race upto my house and my mam yells "here's 50 pence get yourselves a treat!"

With a fun game of tiggy and a cheeky game of catchy kissy, we whistled at the girls playing a game of queeny queeny
With a new pair of shoes I could run like the blistering wind, but I still got caught playing knocky nine doors as a happy little kid
Lying down finding animals in the sky, I seen dog's, dragon's and I even saw a crocodile!

Now I am 35 and still a childish fan
Never growing up just like Peter pan
Although I don't wear the green tights and feathered hat
I laugh most days and still smile like the Cheshire cat
So I'm still a happy child
Don't tell me to grow up
I'm too big , and I can't hide
But that's just me and my devilish mind!
