Never Knowing

Sitting here waiting
Blinded by the tears.
These tears 
Burn scarlet red
Scars on my cheek.
Leaving a mark
Telling that they 
Were once there.
The only reflection 
Is the moon. 
Faces hiding 
In the cold dark.

That I am never alone.
