In Memory of Brad Melvin
1980-2013 Brad was 33yrs. He died in a
car accident last Wed. on his base in WA.
He leaves behind a wife & 3 young children.

Never Undone

We were so overjoyed,
A brand new husband and his wife...
When we got some glorious news,
That we had created a new life.
As you grew inside the womb,
Your kicks were strong inside.
We knew you would be special,
We were anxious for the ride.

The day that you were born,
We looked so deep into your eyes...
How beautiful you were.
We held you close and cried.

At your birthday party,
When you turned just one year old...
We were so very happy,
Your smile was big and bold.
When five years old had come,
We had to send you off to school;
We cried so very hard,
Letting go of our first jewel.

At twelve you didn't need us,
To hold onto your hand.
How quickly time had passed...
Like in an hourglass of sand.

You became a man at twenty,
And we were filled with pride and joy.
Memories flooded through us,
Of when you were a little boy.
When you were twenty-six,
A father you had just become.
You gave us three grandchildren...
What a great job you had done.

Now at thirty three,
The Lord has taken you away...
We cannot stop our tears...
And how we yearn for yesterday...

We miss you with every second...
We want to scream out, "I love you!"
And to hug you oh so hard...
That you haven't got a clue.
Your memory in our hearts,
Will never leave us, Precious Son...
You were a gift from God;
And that can Never, be Undone.
