Never Was

Never Was

You can't grow an orange tree from a brick,
Your own will; be FORCED; a free thinker!
Living down to elite "standards" a tRiCk!
Sip of wine; will always be a slow drinker.

Thief will HELP an    old lady across the street.
The best place for your garden is in the dark.
The smell of coffee grounds and dung so sweet!
Only place for raucous NOISE! be in the park.

Give of your time, if it will hurt someone!
Take the best he's got! from your fellow man.
Don't ever do a days work until YOU're  done.
Steal the    wife from your neighbor if you can!

Cheat a friend; don't confess! MORE or less.
Truth be told," wickedness never was happiness"!

Being Me

And this, unfortunately, is what the world is like...in too many places. I have also found that in this world of ours, there are monsters who can sing quite sweetly 😉

Another fab poem, Jim. I am so sorry I have missed so many. I am making amends. I love what you have to say. You say it well. Brilliant work 👏👏👏👏 x
