New Day & Age

I’m enraged
So engaged but still in the same position.
Feel like I’m destined for riches
So tired of being poor willing to sell my soul to get it.
Every time I get a little cash I show my ass.
Buying expensive items still living in the ghetto.
See looking like you have it is better than actually grasping it.
Something wrong in the hood I can’t even fathom it.
These kids dying over nothing while these corporations keep incorporating ways to keep us complacent.
Let’s face it nothing is gonna change unless we change.
Mama kept me fly that was her specialty but when she dies what’s left for me?
