New Year, same me.

New Year same me, why wish for a new identity
Instead I look towards the future with hopes of promised prosperity.
The past has faded and is now long gone
So there is no reason for me to keep singing the same sad song.
With each day comes a new opportunity,
Childhood dreams are starting to become a reality.
No new beginnings just a continuance of my current race,
pushing forward to achieve all possibilities finishing out in first place.
