Nico And Cody---My Sacred Vision

I’ve been crying one week day and night, the epitome of blue;
With the horrid heartbreak of losing Cody, now gone, like Nico too!
Last night was another sleepless one, insomnia once again;
So I came out to my creative place, and picked up my writing pen!
.
But oddly, after just a little while, I felt my eyelids start to close;
So I laid down in the living room, and instantly reposed!
No sooner did I fall asleep, than a vision came to me;
Nico and Cody were by my side, more than a dream I thought this be!

Cody’s front legs were on Nico’s back, he had a smile upon his face;
Nico reared up and Cody went flying, I reached out to him embrace!
I was feeling so very ecstatic, to have them both back again;
They stayed awhile then faded, a strange thing happened then!
.
I felt my melancholy lifting, replaced by memories of pure joy;
A message had been brought to me, by my Blessed little boys!
“Please stop crying right now Daddy, for we’re together once again”;
“Two wild and crazy puppies, with eternity to spend”!

                                        A sacred vision
                                You return to end my pain
                                       I will cry no more
.

We would like to thank you so much for standing by us in our hour of need, helping us to deal with the excruciating pain of losing our Beloved Cody.  As you have just read in this poem, they came to me last night in a vision, asking me to stop my tears, and remember all the beauties and joys that we shared together.  So, I will respect their wishes, and try to return to my old self.
Again, we cannot thank you enough for all your loving support.
