Nico’s In The Angels’ Choir

We got another letter today, from our Nico up above;

Of course it said he missed us, and was sending down his love!

But he was also very excited, for he’d auditioned and got the part;

To sing in “Gods’ Angels’ Choir”, and next week is when he’d start!

He told us he had gone out one night, with a group of “doggie” friends;

To a well-known karaoke club, and some time there, all to spend!

They listened for a long time, then his friends said, “Nico try”;

He told them he’d be too nervous, for he felt he was too shy!

But they said they’d heard him singing, in the shower every day;

And his voice was very gifted, so then, he said “okay”!

The DJ called his name out, then he came and took the mike;

And out poured the most beautiful singing, the finest of any night!

And sitting there and listening, was an agent for “The Angels’ Choir”;

When Nico finished, he came and said, “Your membership we require”!

So now we’ll hear his voice again, when the Angels come to sing;

And he’ll do a solo, just for us, that such happiness will bring!
