Poem -

Nightmare of a Broken Heart

My heart is gone,

It will be for a while.

I'm all alone,

With no reason to smile.

I can't catch my breath,

I keep panting and panting.

My brain gets no rest,

Her name, I keep chanting and chanting.

My eyes look around,

There's nothing to see.

All my head does is pound.

Where can she be?

My legs are so weak,

I can't stand at all.

Answers, I seek, Her name I do call.

I reach out to touch,

I feel nothing at all.

No breeze, no gust,

Her name I still call.

I listen for anything,

I can't hear a sound.

Her name I now sing,

I pray she'll be found.

I can't smell, I can't taste,

I'm in a dark room

I pace and I pace,

As, I shriek at the Moon.

Wake me, please, wake me,

From this horrible dream,

Or, for My beautiful girl,

I'll forever scream!
