"No big deal"

"No big deal"

"May I go to friends birthday party?"
No big deal.
"Starts at four till ten"

"Sure thing hon,home by ten"
there will be parents right?"
act the concern parent.

Phone comes out.
textings the new thing.
telling friend to count you in.

friends comments drive you insane
"Cant wait girl"
"Lets get this party started in ten"

Five seconds into conversation
reality crashes in.
but really, its no big deal.

minds have been changed.
parents rethink everything.
"you cant go, cause its five seconds."
no big deal.

feeling of hurt rekindle.
cause this has happened,
many times before.

your life left in a mental stage.
losing friends along the way.
one minute "yes"
Another "did I forget to tell you,
you cant go?"

Friends get mad.
practically pissed at you.
joke of the group.
never asked anywhere.

So you sit at home
being a loner.
cause no one wants a friend
who cant go out.

parents say
"don't be mad, you cant go,
we just think thats best for you."

"no big deal right?"
