No Matter The Changes

No Matter The Changes

They spent their summer days walking along the sand, looking back at their footprints that got smaller and smaller,
Watching as the sun set and the day turn into a dark night.

They spent their summer nights on the cool sand, with a cold drink in their hand,
Watching as the tide got higher and higher.

They spent their autumn days tossing up the crimson leaves that fell from the now lifeless trees,
Watching the once green leaves, turn into a redy-brown colour, and without the green, life looked a little bit duller.

They spent their autumn nights, getting ready for the cool nights to come ahead,
Watching as their breath fogged up as soon as they spoke.

They spent their winter days lying in the cool snow, making snow angels with their bodies,
Watching as the snow gracefully fell onto the trees and everything it touched.

They spent their winter nights sipping on hot cocoa and snuggling up in their warmest clothes,
Watching as the fire crackled right in front of their eyes, and their once marshmallows disappear into the warm liquid.

They spent their spring days clearing up all the left over snow,
Watching as the leaves grew back and the blossoms grow.

They spent their spring nights filled with echoed laughs and silent cries,
Watching as their tears gathered up in their eyes, waiting to fall, yet they knew that they would rise.

No matter all the changes, they stuck by each other,
Because that’s how much they meant to one another,

Past, present, future, will always just be a time, in the end they would always be together through the tough, easy and confusing.
