Poem -

No return

You broke me, back to reality.

You freed me from the prison called love

Your lies saved my soul

The emptiness I felt in your arms soon filled me with strength.

I won't go back, I won't return to that place of smoke and mirrors.

I can see now. Your hurt brought me back to life.

There is a stultifying and powerful dichotomy in this fantastic image/line!! It's such an accomplished and perfect crux for the whole poem.

Strident and inspiring!!

An uncompromising appraisal of the deepest recesses of the heart brings about an accomplished work so exactingly dealing with emotional response and stark feeling which forcefully affect perspectives.

You have a gift for bringing senses and a minds evaluation of a situation together in a potent mix to establish creative harmony. Forthright reflection and openess combine !

Great.

Wishing you the very best in your endeavours. Take care.
