No sport for me ?

Hell’ bells I hate football
Tho I really wish that wasn’t true
I just don’t get it at all
It makes me blue

Loads of men on a pitch
Running after a ball
All on a mission
Just to score a goal

Watching it is so boring
Probably best if your playing
Not that I’m going to
I’m only saying

Its on loads on the tv
Hubby is a huge fan
But it drives me crazy
So I avoid it when I can

Noisy & monotonous
Crowds shouting swear words
Getting in fettles
What a lot of nerds

I actually went with my hubby
To a live match one day
It was red & white liverpool
Playing Newcastle united away

Well I was freezing
Though I tried my best
To enjoy the football
But the cold was a pest

My heart wasn’t innit
& By the first half time
I was counting every minute
I was ready to commit a crime

Give me a good drama
Then I’m glued to the screen
I will be in my element
Enjoying what I’ve seen

Guess I’m not a sporty person
I never was as a child
But I was put on the hockey team
It always drove me wild

Dam how I hated it
The bully off bat hit my knee
Then I pleaded with my teacher
Please do not pick me

Huh she didn’t listen
Teachers seldom do
They think they know the best
What is good for you

So I played alot of hockey
I got fedup & bruised
Until the day I broke an ankle
Then I got excused ?
