Poem -

No Title Just Reality

THIS IS A POEM THAT TELLS A STORY BETWEEN TWO DIFFERENT TIMES.

People these days can't handle the truth, they can't handle the reality
So they waste their lives just trying to live in a world;
that doesn't even exist in their own fked up mentality
The sad reality is people are always fighting,
No one gets along, and sadly enough;
no one even remembers the word integrity
because somewhere along the way the world forgot how to communicate
and now we live in a world full of nothing but unforgiving hate
and all you ever hear; is people saying things like;
"Listen, Linda"., or, "Hey; look another Karen"
when it was so peaceful back then just to hear
"Sup bro?, or what's up dude?; and things like "Hey; girl, or what's up chick?"
it's pathetic these days to constantly hear men talking about dick
please tell me, when did that become such a clique
and please tell me when;…
did women have to start enlarging the middle of their body so big it took out...
their back, or for all we know; a damn hip?
and when did men want to start becoming women?
Why is today's world so much more complicated than it was back then?
hey, don't come at me, I support; to each their own; do you, amen!
But certain things shouldn't be on repeat;
when the world is slowly falling apart... every... single... day
Is this the world we want to raise our kids in, like seriously?
these things all concern me, I'm just being honest, I'm sorry if it's brutal
But I kind of feel like what's important to me;
is, or, should at least be important to you too
and so I'm going to let it all just come out
There's a wild variety of topics in this poem you'll obviously learn about
so just read, and read it well because this is the truth, this is our reality;
and I hate to ask this but are we on some secret world wide suicidal mission?;
To wipe out the next generation;,... completely?
This is the real world people, it's time to accept it
Time is of essence, and the whole universe is at war,
it's not needed come to your senses and put an end to it
The reality we live in today has definitely come a long way
but not in the way you'd think, let's just simply say
There used to be love, peace, and happiness
not just in the world people but in our own minds twisted mess
you could sleep at night peacefully;
you didn't have to worry about the noise from the neighbor
in the world today, it's gotten to the point;... that...
one neighbors calling the cops because they can't handle the noise anymore
you could even leave your doors unlocked all day, and hell; all night.
in the world today you can't go to bed;... at least...
not without having to worry about someone coming in;
and taking everything you've ever worked so hard for
I mean there was always real problems, real crimes,
and yes even real scumbags and murderers
but in today's world, honestly... it... kinda;...
feels like it's being taken over by abusers and perverts
and that just breaks my heart; because;
Everyone used to be like family, no one even had to
knock on someone's trusted... door
because that's just how it was, but that's no longer how it is,
and I'm telling you now that's the way it needs to be, we ALL need to fix this!
because truth be told the universe CANNOT survive; based;,
in a world that honestly would never thrive
For it doesn't even begin to exist... so please;,
People all across the world,
if this gets read by you, then truly, I appreciate you
because; I can't be the only person who sees the world like I do.

Hello Stephanie...

It's great to see you back...

I read your amputee write a couple of times I'm going to read it again and Comment, Stars, Pin and but this write too I need a moment...

I want you to know I'm in awe of your strength and you're not alone in seeing the world like you do...

But, if we look at what's Beautiful leave the nasty to those who crave it...

One day may you also see as I do it's not all bad...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

I, myself, personally see the good... And the bad. I don't crave the nasty, the nasty craves me and it's something I'm trying to work on mentally. I'm in a tough spot in life and my environment is very... Dysfunctional and... Negative.
I'm doing everything I can not to just mentally snap. I'm going to be writing a few more poems but not like this. I just wanted to get some the bottled up emotions out. Not just for myself, but for those who can't do it for themselves.

I'm glad to be back. I've missed you, especially. 💕

Thank you, truly, for all your support. You have always had a special spot in my heart. 🥰 Thank you so much for your feedback.

"There used to be love, peace, and happiness"

Yes, but also there were hate, war and bitterness in the past.
Think we can't romanticize the whole of past history. Other
than this, I appreciate very much your write, and understand
completely.

I understand where you're coming from. I had thought about that as I wrote that specific line, however, I couldn't figure out how to add it to what I was writing because at that specific moment I was only feeling towards a certain way(s). Whenever I write it's based off of the emotions I'm experiencing while writing at that specific moment. None of my poems are technically planned or thought about until I actually start writing. I hope this makes sense.

Thank you for your feedback. ❤️

This poem is a raw and thought-provoking reflection on the stark contrasts between the past and present, exploring societal changes and their impact on humanity. The poet masterfully captures the nostalgia for a simpler, kinder world while addressing the harsh realities of today. The honesty in lines like "The reality we live in today has definitely come a long way but not in the way you'd think" invites readers to introspect and question the path society has taken.
The poem raises significant issues such as the loss of communication, the decline of community values, and the rise of fear and division. It highlights how the essence of love, peace, and trust has faded amidst the noise of modern complexities. The rhetorical questions like "Is this the world we want to raise our kids in, like seriously?" challenge the reader to rethink their role in shaping a better future.
This piece serves as a wake-up call, urging humanity to reconnect with integrity, compassion, and a sense of shared responsibility. It’s a deeply moving and urgent reminder of what we stand to lose if we don’t act to heal our fractured world.

Then, there’s no need to thank me. My legendary friend, you don’t need to thank me. We are your servants, walking in your footsteps, or you can say we’ve become your disciples. Stay happy and spread joy.

You make several very interesting points here and help raise awareness of other issues and insidious changes that appear to be taking place around the globe .. My guess is that all those who pass this way will have their own opinions on each of them .. and while your post is very much of the moment, it could likely be applied also to almost any time period throughout history .. It may read like a rant but obviously much thought has been given to the subject & issues that inspired its creation .. With kindest intentions & my personal regards, Neville

Thank you so much for the feedback and comments!! I know this will spark some heat eventually. It was never my intention. I'm just so overwhelmed lately just with life itself. I needed a safe place to vent so I came back home. To Cosmo!! 🫂💕💚
