LA FOLIE CIRCULAIRE
Ripped, torn,ย
i cower before you
my heart crushed in your fist
i struggled to gain breath
This circle of insanityย
back and forth,ย
high and lowย
i weary of this spinning
Melancholia smothers
Sucks air from my lungs
Crushes under foot
Or sometimes stirs the pen
Were there not for the stalwart few
The defiant exiguous
No one would know of escape
From these viscid arms
So praise to youย
mutineers
Armed resistors
Evidencersโ of lifeย
anxiety attacks, depression, melancholy, bipolarย
Blues, la folie circulair survivors
We salute you
