Poem -

North Star

I'd follow you

across the galaxy.

We'd stop lazily

to orbit the stars-

to bask in their glow-

to find warmth in their jarring arctic chill.

Tracing through the inky blackness-

without a hand to hold-

I can't help feeling lost-

I have no ground

no gravity to keep me whole.

I try to look up and to find you-

The North Star-

hoping it'll take me home-

but it doesn't-

it doesn't bring me back to you.
