This Is Not My My First Disco
Better to know what your doing,
Before you partake,
But you'll never know what your doing,
By now feelings can't be fake.
Ingest the poison,
That gives reason to party with the crowd,
Curse the future,
Nothing better than riding the clouds.
Can't be much longer,
Cool music and sound,
Conscience will no longer,
Catch you when your coming down.
Party hard like your at the disco,
Use all of yourself up,
Admiring the person that's becoming,
A junkie who can't get enough.
Dedicating every waking moment,
Decisions will deal you in,
Despite the good pieces left,
Doesn't matter destruction is scheduled to begin.
Did you ever notice,
All of the good times never last,
Im better when I feel those feelings,
Says the liar speaking up from the past.

Cherie this poem is very much about that and how naive people are when they are young they either grow up and grow out of that destructive path or they reach a point of no return. Om glad you were able to say no and stick with it others are no so fortunate I wised up in my late teens and had kids young which helped keep m away from that lifestyle. Thank you Cherie for your comment your very good at breaking down some of the true meanings behind my poetry.
