Not So Saturine

Not So Saturine

We approached the blue planet which was yellow,
not so gloomy but beautiful above and below,
the rings were like the bands around your heart, 
they gripped me, drew me in, so we could never part.

Rocky images glittered in the moonlight, grey white,
speeding in a circle around your finger, a reminder
that you loved me, a great heart larger than Earth,
there was no value, who could price what you're worth.

Like the planet, you would always wait for me to return,
be there, with your moody moons, teaching me to learn
that no matter what I did, you were always ready to care,
spinning, grinning, playing a game of lonely solitaire.

Until we were the last two left on a coloured board,
the game would never end, while rings and spirits soared.
