Jason, this was one of my favourite writes from you in recent times; love your humour too though lol!! But for me I am always look for a story and a rhythm to a write and this had it all. A heartbreaking tale, glad that it had a happy end. A write you should be proud of. I give this a sincere 5*s and a nomination from me:)
Sorry, I also meant to mention, which was an important factor for me was the structure that you used, the repetition of the line about 'home'! Really instilled the feel of your write, much enjoyed:)
