Nothing can heal the loss

Nothing can heal the loss you feel today 
Nothing can come back once it's gone 
Now you must have the faith in the Almighty Lord 
And pray for the strength to carry on

And to give you the courage to face the emptiness that awaits you
For this time will pass but the pain will never leave
For everything will remind you of the one's you lost
And fills your heart with pain and grief

You have faith all of your life 
And you believe in the powers of god
And now you have to dig much deeper into your faith
Because your heart bleeds like it been cut to shreds with a dull sword

You know the one's you lost
Is in heaven with god looking down on you
And they want to tell you 
That they are alright and want you to get the strength to see this dark day through

But this pain is too much to bear
You don’t know how you will live now that they are no longer there
And the tears keeps falling like the rain
Knowing that for the rest of your life, Who you can never see them again

Today this pain of losing a child 
Is felt by family members of my brother's wife
who's young and vibrant son and brother, nephew, and cousin
Life was cut short by the hands of heartless criminals

A young man who we saw grew up right before our very eyes
And with pain in everyone's heart who knew him
From a little boy growing up to become a teenager, husband, and father, a friend and humble mannered person to all who knew him

Today his mother and father and brother and sister and cousins, nieces and nephews, wife and kids
And everyone who had the pleasure of knowing this fine person
Mourns his passing before his time

And there's no words or anything that one can do
To ease the pain of the love ones he left behind
I just hope that god can ease their suffering a little in due time
And show them a glimpse of him in heaven,
To bring them a little sunshine again

There will certainly be a new sunshine every morning
And I hope they see his face smiling down at them
For their life will go one amongst all theses pain
And one day in heaven they all will meet him again

The clock may be at a stand still for you today
And you feel like you don’t know what to do
but even on these days of your deepest sorrow,
the heavens will show you the rainbow.

And the one that you have lost 
will always have your shoulder to rest,
And in your house, they will always be there with you
And you will always feel their love and togetherness
