NOTHING DOING TONIGHT

The words are not coming out tonight 
Can't get a poem together try as I might 
Nothing seems to flow or make any sense 
Making me angry and feeling very tense

In literary terms they call it writers block 
First time its happened and I'm in shock 
No inspiration is coming like it usually does
My pen has lost its zing and also its buzz

I have to think tomorrow is another day 
Hopefully a new poem will come into play 
Tonight is just a blip that's what I will say 
If it happens again then I may have to pray
