Notice ME

You think I don't reach out. You think I'm afraid. Little do you know I'm not crying because you yelled at me, I'm crying because I can't take you being mad at me on top of everything else. I'm not ignoring you, my head is just in a whole other world. Sometimes I cry a little louder hoping you'll hear, but all you hear is my yelling. Sometimes I smile a little less hoping you'll ask if I'm okay, but you never do. I let my tears form a river down my cheek and leave them there hoping you'll ask why, but all you see is my mistakes. You think I'm just not hungry because I ate an hour before dinner. You think I don't bake and draw anymore because I grew out of it. You think I'm moody all the time just because I'm a teenager. You think I'm alive but I'm actually dead. You don't notice my chewed nails, my shaking thumbs, my twitching face, my absent appetite, my bloodshot and tired eyes. You notice Audrey, but you don't notice ME.
