Now I Sit Me Down To Eat

Now I Sit Me Down To Eat

Now I sit me down to eat,
Juicy cadaver sweetmeat
Bowing bristly head to feast.
Victims lull a savage beast,

Ripping tasty flesh apart,
Apathy plagues callous heart.
Vacant eyes accusing stare,
But, one too ravenous to care.

A patient, methodical wait
How I pray and contemplate.
Fodder, please wander near,
Trepidations draw them here.

Amber eyes fiercely glow,
Under bloated moon hung low
Glistened fetid, acid bile.
Drooling from a lurid smile.

Picking clean sinewy fangs,
Only incites hunger pangs.
Sole mercy I shall show,
A quickened expiry I'll bestow.

Deathblow of talon’s might,
Nary chance for you to fight.
I but a foregone conclusion,
Seeking noΒ pardon forΒ intrusion.

Things seen out of the corner of the eye are the most fearsome.
It appears you have stared at this one full faced and know it well
I think I felt its flaming breath
Great write

I find the faster I read this, the more dark and animalistic it is. Great job, Poetess.

My Dear Lisa,

Satan sits, as sinners sin
Their Hell's descent will soon begin
He will welcome them, with open fangs
Then rip their flesh, quenching hunger pangs

Love,
