Obscurity

Obscurity

Darkness,
I embrace thee
for I can see in youΒ
what none other can see

Silly ShakespeareΒ
gave you jaws,
with which he claimedΒ
you devoured love

Born we were in your domain
Death shall return us to you

You muffle sounds
I wish not to hear,
You hide the sights
I fright to see,
You envelop meΒ
when loneliness creeps.

You are depth and
You are perceptionΒ
Would light survive alone
in your absence?

Light can be cold
but also be warm
Darkness is cold
unless you reform

Do stars not shine brighter
In the dark?

In fact, darkness is a perception. Light needs darkness to shine. Imagine a lghted torch in sunlight. I love the part where you embraced darkness. Exceptional write Mitsali.

And sometimes, stars shine until they've got nothing less, and slowly die and fade away into little puffs of dust in the grand scheme of things... Some stars are consumed by the dark, before they ever had the chance to shine brightly.
