Obsession, A possession By Ben Goode 2012 (c)

Obsession, A possession By Ben Goode 2012 (c)

An intimate connection,
Not all the pages show the pictures,
Not all that, need correction.
A painted canvas, thick with oil,
A loaf of bread, that’s green with spoil,
A car that's humble, nothing great,
A heavy man that’s losing weight.
Dishes piled up on the sink.
Snapping pen that’s full of ink.
A tired old man, of heavy eyes,
A wrinkled frown he can’t disguise,
A sigh that’s never listened to,
Doesn’t know, what he has to do.
Just a little time away,
Without the guilt, paid every day.
