OCD oh OCD
OCD oh OCD
Why must you keep tormenting me?
Doubts and fears go round my mind.
Peace of mind I cannot find.
Checking, checking,
Washing, washing
Every single day
It's been going on
For so long now
I know of no other way.
Pure- O too takes up much time,
I can't find peace for my worried mind:
Everything must be "just so"
Or my obsessive mind will not let go.
For me, compulsions are part of life,
It might always be the way,
So I incorporate OCDÂ
Into each and every day.
(I'd recommend clomipramine if you can tolerate the side effects).

Attention deficit cleaning disorder angel
Hey MICHAEL!!..... This is beautifully understated... because OCD can be so aggressively boisterous and quixotic!!.....I Live with CHERIE and she has to deal with it every day just as you apparently do...... but like you perfectly stated ~ "So I incorporate it into each and every day"...... it's that approach of acceptance that makes it easier to deal with!!......ALL STARS!!...... Great choice of topical subject matter to share here....,,. well done dear poet brother!!......T xo ???❤
Thanks for your comments.
Think it runs through my family we try and wonder
which line it was passed down on - guess my mother's
if you put a salt pot in a different place on the table
my gran would pick it up saying it does not live there.
My younger daughter has it - just for certain things
guess from me - if they have an imperfection they
do not like - "It had to come from me"Â But they insist
I have mental OCD
I have done a poem where my sister say's I have
OCD I made light of it - we are what we are
Though I do say to her it's just organisation!!!
Well said Michael - be true to yourself.
