Poem -

ok

You said “do you wanna go down to my basement?”
We both knew where that would lead.
I agreed anyway,
Because it felt like it was something that I could need.

You grabbed my hand
And led the way
I’m being honest, I was worried
But you made me feel ok

My best friend was drunk
and making out with your best friend in the other room

All I could do was think about her
Until you made me forget about her

You looked at me with your deep brown eyes
Your neck was warm and I told you that it was
You told me you were sober, so i thought it was ok

But i think it’s now safe to say
We made some mistakes
We made promises you couldn’t keep

I tried my hardest to forget about it
To forget about you

But that night
Is something i would never undo
